To enable the Arena to continue to provide, and improve, on-going facilities for both training and competition for the benefit of all, elements WILL BE CLOSED for short periods during the autumn.
THE THROWING CAGE - The circle and relevant throwing sectors WILL BE CLOSED,as is usually the case, for their annual maintenance and for a rest from 10 SEPTEMBER to 8 OCTOBER inclusive.
THE TRACK - All 8 lanes and all all-weather run-ups WILL BE CLOSED from 24 SEPTEMBER to 7 OCTOBER inclusive to enable the relevant areas to be cleaned and remarked. Whilst the cleaning can be carried out in inclement weather, the remarking requires dry conditions and it is possible that the 2nd week's work(1st - 7th October) might delay the reopening.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS MAINTENANCE IS FOR EVERYONE'S BENEFIT AND ADJUST YOUR USAGE ACCORDINGLY. It costs RBK £12 grand plus and is money well spent.
We are one of the biggest and friendliest athletics clubs in London and compete across a huge array of leagues, events and championships and have athletes of literally all standards and ages and across all events.
Whether you are an 8 year old novice, a senior international or a “more mature” athlete looking to get back into the sport – we can help you achieve your goals.
We cater for runners, jumpers, throwers and multi-eventers on the track, in the field, on the roads or over the country and are based at Kingsmeadow in Kingston-upon-Thames (KT1 3PB). We'll be very happy to help you with your sport – so please just get in touch and we'll do all we can to assist.
